Narrowband technology is today one of the best ways to create long-range IoT network projects such as Smart City, Industry 4.0 or even Smart Farming, as it offers great wireless range and penetration being also energy efficient. There are some limitations such as the “1% rule” or the requirement of using gateways to provide internet connection to the devices, but as IoT messages are commonly short transmissions from sensors or events to the cloud, this is more than enough.

In this context, a lot projects have been added to the use of NB technologies such as TheThingsNetwork, an European company that has the proposal of creating the world’s largest LoRaWAN network, through a large community of users in which anyone can participate, just signing up into their website or contributing to the gateway network.

As you may know, in Thinger.io we are always trying to stay up to date with the trends of this market and to offer the best possible integration with all network technologies, as we are Hardware Agnostic IoT platform. This time we decide to integrate with TTN, that is why in recent weeks we have collaborated with the community TTN Madrid to improve our system and simplify the process of acquisition, store, processing, and display data produced by LoRaWAN devices.

To make these new features public and to celebrate this collaboration, we are going to hold an event on the 15th of March, in which we will hold a small seminar on the integration of a LoRaWAN device with Thinger.io through the TheThingsNetwork portal.

The event will take place in the auditorium of Google for Startups Campus Madrid, space kindly provided by Google for Startups, following this agenda:

18.30 – Guest reception

19.00 – Introduction to IoT Technology and use cases

19.30 – The Things Network Madrid Community

20.15 – Thinger.io Platform Integration

21.00 – Beerworking

After the event, it will be the perfect time to share impressions while we refresh ourselves with a few beers sponsored by Redexia, and we are happy to announce that TIER Mobility will provide free rollers for our guests to make it easier to come to the auditorium.

So everything is ready, we hope this will be the start of a great relationship with The Things Network community and technology in order to achieve new goals together in the future.

Hope to see you all there!
