Performance and usability

Faster dashboards, more data sources

Large dashboards load faster, and the data behind them can now come from each device's own buckets.

Lazy-loading in dashboards

Significantly improves loading time for large layouts.

Device Buckets as data sources

Device Buckets can now be used as dashboard data sources. They are inherited from the Product buckets definition.

MongoDB Transforms

Transforms on MongoDB buckets now support the same functionality as InfluxDB.

Visualization and customization

See how a product's data flows

Products get a graph of their data flows, and their dashboards can now be adjusted for a single device.

Graph view for products

Visualize the data flows between sources and targets of a product.

Per-device dashboard editing

Product dashboards now support per-device editing, with permissions.
Graph of a Milesight AM103 product: the uplink resource streams to the uplink stream, which feeds the uplink property and a decode function that writes to the milesight_am103 bucket; the reboot and reporting_interval resources call the downlink resource, which calls the plugin
Product Graph View: for a Milesight AM103, the uplink runs through its stream and decoder into the bucket, while the reboot and reporting interval resources call the downlink.
Dashboard tab of a Dragino device in the console, with the edit button at the right of the toolbar
Dashboard edits at device level, to override a product dashboard.

Access control and permissions

Control who sees what, down to a property

Permissions reach individual product properties, and groups can be nested to restrict what members see. More on access control on the security page.

Property-level permissions

Now available within products, to control access on project members.

Group Hierarchies

Create nested groups and restrict member visibility per subgroup.

User properties

Introduced for future integration in forms and automations.
Property settings with Hidden and Read Only fields, each taking roles; the role list shows owner and member
Property-level permissions on products: a property can be hidden or read-only for the owner or member roles of a project.
Add group form with Optional Parent Group, Group ID, Group name and Group description fields
Group Hierarchies to enable subgroups: a new group can take an optional parent group.
The Properties table of the user profile, with Property, Value and Modified columns and an Add button
User Properties under Profile > Properties.

Security and connectivity

mTLS authentication for MQTT devices

Release 6.5 adds initial support for mTLS authentication on MQTT devices.

The support is at a testing stage in this release.
