Built to scale

Tools to manage large networks of devices and users

Since its inception, the Thinger.io Platform was developed with a strong focus on scalability: the communication protocol with the PSON format, the database system and the server are all ready to create large projects.

However, some tools were missing to make deployment and resource management equally scalable. This post covers the latest advances made with this objective: the new functionalities launched to allow the easy creation and administration of large networks of devices and users, so the platform can be used in B2B and B2B2C projects.

PSON is the binary payload format of IOTMP, the protocol devices use to talk to the platform.

Multitenancy

Multitenant features for B2B and B2B2C

Flexible tools to create different product structures, both for B2B2C products and for B2B projects with multiple customers that need a complex permission hierarchy.

Project Management Tool

Deploy independent projects within a single instance, associating resources and users to simplify their scalable administration.

Multiple user account roles

A complete user management tool that creates accounts with different roles, for privilege hierarchies in three levels.

Asset types

Gather devices by type or group to share configurations or parameters, with geofencing and alerting to monitor the IoT network in real time.

Custom branding and web domain

Modify the web console with a custom web domain, brand colors and logotypes.

Three levels of privileges

The user management tool implements privilege hierarchies in three levels. Project members only see the specific resources of the projects an Admin or Developer has associated them with, and only execute the tasks they have been allowed to.

Admin

The server owner.

Developer

Collaborators who, like the Admin, associate project members with the resources of a project.

Project member

Read-only accounts for customers or guests.

Admin, developers as tenants, and the users of each project.

Our main objective is to give our customers a simple way to create their own IoT platform: today that is White Label / OEM, a project per client inside your instance. Asset groups are part of fleet management, and geofences of alerts.

Integrations

Sigfox Cloud integration

Probably the best way to develop an IoT product in a short time is combining our platform with Sigfox devices.

Sigfox has a large community of hardware developers and an extensive telecommunications network tailored to the needs of our industry. The integration of Sigfox with Thinger.io has been improved with a plugin that provides device auto-provisioning, data processing and bidirectional communication with the devices.

Pricing

New pricing for companies

IoT is applied to a great diversity of verticals and use cases, with projects of all types and very different business models.

That is why our pricing tries to accommodate all of them, with subscriptions designed for the needs of each client. And we keep our commitment to the developer and education community: a free account to test almost all the features of the system, and a personal account for makers and small prototypes at a very low price.

Pricing table of February 2021 with five plans: Maker, free, 2 devices on the Community Cloud; Small, 29 euros a month; Medium, 149 euros a month; Large, 299 euros a month; Unlimited, 599 euros a month, each with its private cloud size, developers, plugins, brands, domains and support
The plans as published in February 2021, from the free Maker account to Unlimited.

Support

Extended support for business customers

There is nothing better than expert assistance during the first steps of a project, to solve doubts and work in the right direction, reducing integration costs and timings.

Community support

24/7 support thanks to our community of users.

Specialized support

A specialized support team for business customers, via email and video call.

Added to any "Medium" subscription or higher (2021)

Support today: technical support, from the engineers who build the platform.
