Why El Referente called Thinger.io “the WordPress of IoT”

A lack of standardization and high engineering costs have long hindered the widespread adoption of IoT, even as the industry evolves rapidly.

At Thinger.io, we have tackled these challenges head-on, providing an intuitive, secure and scalable platform that enables product creators to build smart solutions without extensive IoT expertise.

Our global impact, with over 100,000 users across 182 countries and more than 200 companies leveraging our technology, has earned us the recognition of being named “the WordPress of IoT” in a recent review by El Referente, highlighting our role in democratizing IoT development.

R&D

Research and development as a driver of innovation

At Thinger.io, research and development (R&D) is at the heart of everything we do.

We originated in a research environment, and we continue to collaborate with top academic institutions such as UC3M, UPM and UNED to drive technological advancements.

Our latest project, in partnership with the ETS of Agronomic Engineers (UPM), focuses on smart agriculture solutions. By integrating real-time data collection and historical analysis into a digital farmer’s logbook, we aim to enhance water management and sustainability in agriculture.

This commitment to R&D ensures that Thinger.io remains at the forefront of IoT innovation, bringing cutting-edge solutions to various industries. R&D is a cornerstone of our strategy, as highlighted in the interview.

Our commitment to R&D not only allows us to continually improve our technology but also to meet the specific needs of each sector and deliver tools that truly transform how IoT solutions are developed.
